Research is an integral part of our DNA. Our dedicated teams are continuously working to push the boundaries of location tech and develop groundbreaking solutions. We are driving the future of mobility and shaping a world where bits and bytes lead the way.
The consortium project DAKI-FWS (Data and AI-supported Early Warning System for Stabilising the German Economy) has set itself the goal of using AI technologies to link and evaluate data from different data sources. Based on this data, an early warning system is to be developed that can be used in future crisis situations such as a pandemic or a natural disaster to better describe the development and course.
In addition, the impact of crises on economic aspects is to be better assessed. DAKI-FWS is part of the "KI Innovation Competition" of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and is funded with approx. 12 million euros. DAKI-FWS started at the beginning of December 2021 and will run for three years.
Alerting and optimisation services for logistics systems, are based on the DAKI EWS alerts. This provides SMEs with logistics chains with innovative added value. This not only provides access to a "digital situation centre", but also concrete and potentially automated recommendations for action down to the operational level of the logistics software used.
In addition to LOGIBALL, Budelmann Elektronik GmbH, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, D4L - data4life gGmbH, the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Engineering, Justus Liebig University Giessen, NET CHECK GmbH, the Robert Koch Institute, the Zuse Institute Berlin and, as subcontractors, the German Climate Computing Centre and Esri Deutschland GmbH are involved. Associated partners are also the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce, Here Technologies, Schönborner Armaturen, the Hessian Agency for Nature Conservation, Environment and Geology and the German Weather Service.
In the course of digitalisation, the transport of goods is becoming increasingly important. The challenge of increasingly faster, cheaper and more energy-efficient transport is leading us into the age of transport robots.
With over 20 years of experience, LOGIBALL has developed solutions that make this age a reality faster. With this know-how, we are clearing the way for beesy.
Our project goal is to have all components available for scaling in the most important markets in order to operate beesy there. The focus is on very different business models, from service and white label products in B2B, B2C to the C2C sector.
We have already made important steps forward on this path. The concept and the rough design phase have been finalised. beesy is a registered trademark. Necessary software solutions are available with the Localion platform and support rapid piloting.

With Localion AI, we are developing a technology stack and the know-how to make optimal use of location data with the help of artificial intelligence.
We distinguish between sensible, practical solutions and visionary topics in order to give our clients clear recommendations. Sometimes an efficient database query is enough, while in other cases AI opens up revolutionary paths.
As a result, we have a clear recommendation for our customers and can offer sensible solutions that represent a mix of both worlds. It doesn't always have to be AI, because sometimes a good database query also fulfils the task at hand.
Nevertheless, there is no doubt that artificial intelligence has the potential to radically change the world in the near future. New paths will develop for countless business processes and especially for products that require location data. Autonomous driving, transport robots, drones and many other fields of application are ready to be conquered.
